AIR MAIL: The opening of John Wayne Airport’s new terminal, scheduled for Sept. 16, will be commemorated with special stamp cancellations offered by the Postal Service. . . . One set will be available to the public during the Sept. 8 dedication, but another will be only for VIPs who pay $250 to board the terminal’s “First Flight,” an American Airlines 757 jetliner that will take off at 10 a.m., fly over Catalina Island and return by 11.
