CALL UP: Both Tom Umberg, Democratic candidate in the 72nd Assembly District, and his wife, Robin, are reserve Army officers. Umberg acknowledges that the odds are much greater that his wife--a nurse now on regular reserve duty--will be activated for duty in the Mideast. There’s not as much need for a military prosecutor in Saudi Arabia, even one with airborne training. If he was mobilized, he says, “that would obviously take precedence over a campaign.”
