I enjoyed Jack Smith’s “Adios to Baja” (Jack Smith on Sunday, July 8) and am pleased to say that his “God and Mr. Gomez” is one example of a book in English, by a “real” American, in which “real” Mexicans are depicted as individual human beings. It can happen.
