Van Nuys Woman, 41, Dies in Truck Collision

A 41-year old Van Nuys woman was killed when her car collided with a tractor-trailer truck in Sherman Oaks on Friday afternoon, police said.
Fariba Solhjoe died at UCLA Medical Center, said Officer Michael Brausam. The accident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. as Solhjoe was traveling north on Beverly Glen Boulevard, a quarter-mile north of Mulholland Drive. “She veered left over the double yellow lines” and “went underneath the tractor-trailer rig,” Brausam said.
The front of Solhjoe’s 1980 Nissan Sentra was run over by the left rear wheels of the truck.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
