Safeguard Shares: Emerging Growth Partners L.P., an investment partnership in Baltimore, has acquired 5.01%, or 225,000 common shares, of Safeguard Enterprises Inc., an Anaheim-based dental health maintenance organization, for $1.8 million, according to information it filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Emerging Growth Partners is one of the three largest institutional investors in Safeguard, said Ronald I. Brendzel, Safeguard’s senior vice president.
