World Series Rates: After disappointing ratings for both league-championship series, CBS scored heavily with Tuesday night’s World Series opener. The game between the Oakland Athletics and the Cincinnati Reds was the top-rated show of the evening, drawing a 20.2 rating, watched in about 18.8 million homes. Last year’s World Series opener between the Athletics and the San Francisco Giants was seen in 14.9 million homes.
