Lufthansa Wants Ex-East German Carrier: Germany’s Lufthansa has proposed that it take over the former East German carrier Interflug, Chairman Heinz Ruhnau said. Interflug is now in the hands of the government of the newly unified Germany. Ruhnau proposed that, after a restructuring, Interflug be run as a separate unit of Lufthansa.
