Transamerica Corp.: The San Francisco insurance and financial services company said its third-quarter earnings fell 14% to $80.8 million. Revenue was off 14% to $1.6 billion. The company said a sluggish economy affected its commercial lending operation, its leasing and real estate services business and part of its insurance operation.
