Better Than Advertised

The Jerry Hulse diatribe, “Why Fool With Paradise?,” July 8, and the subsequent letters on Aug. 12 piqued our interest. We also noted on Aug. 12 an advertisement for an American Airlines “Fly Away” vacation to the Hyatt Regency Waikola for $999 each. We decided it was more than affordable to escape the Orange County gridlock to get away.

Although we endured some most unusual late-summer weather, we were welcomed to our Hyatt Regency air-conditioned accommodations. We were impressed with the staff and its friendly demeanor and attitude. We almost thought we were in the Singapore Hilton of a few years ago.

Although the Hyatt Regency Waikola may be equated to a high-price Disneyland resort, we did not find it so. We found it an unique, enjoyable and economical vacation destination which we would highly recommend.
