Reviewer Named for Manville Trust Overhaul: A federal judge appointed the AFL-CIO’s top lawyer to review a plan to overhaul the Manville trust designed to speed compensation to workers poisoned by asbestos. U.S. District Judge Jack B. Weinstein also called for establishing a panel of labor, management and others to recommend ways to devise a single, national fund to distribute all asbestos settlements.
