Loyola Fan Hits Bruins on Timing

Well, I guess Loyola Marymount fans owe UCLA a thank you and a congratulations. Goliath finally accepted an invitation to play David after five years. The circumstances were finally stacked enough in UCLA’s favor: The Hank and Bo Show had ended, four 1989-90 Loyola starters were gone and UCLA had rested a week while LMU had its third game in three days.

After three years, LMU no longer dominates Southern California. Avoidance has paid off. Bragging rights are now yours.
