COSTA MESA : New Officers Elected by College Trustees

Trustees for the Coast Community College District have elected two new officers and approved a contract with non-faculty employees. (
Paul G. Berger of Costa Mesa was chosen to succeed Armando R. Ruiz as president; Walter G. Howald of Newport Beach was elected Vice President.
Berger, who has served on the board since 1987, is a former Huntington Beach Union High School administrator. Howald, a lawyer, has been on the board since 1985.
The new labor contract includes a 7% wage increase retroactive to July 1, 1990, and a 1.5% increase effective Jan. 1.
