Taiwan Repatriates 71 Stowaways to China

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Taiwan’s Red Cross repatriated 71 stowaways to China on Friday and officials promised there would be additional transfers until all illegal Chinese in detention have been sent home.
“We hope that all can be sent back, and will repatriate both new arrivals and those already here as quickly as possible,” Red Cross Deputy Secretary-General Chang Sung-mo said.
