Eye Spy: Alec Baldwin will take on a familiar role as the CIA’s Jack Ryan in film adaptations of two Tom Clancy best sellers. Screenplays are being written for Clancy’s “Patriot Games” and “Clear and Present Danger,” Paramount said. Baldwin starred as the intelligence sleuth in Paramount’s “The Hunt for Red October,” based on another Clancy thriller. Baldwin, who is romantically involved with actress Kim Basinger, has also appeared in “Beetlejuice,” “Alice” and “Married to the Mob.”
