Koppel Overloaded: Due to expanded coverage of the Gulf War on “Nightline” and other ABC News programs, Ted Koppel has suspended operations on Koppel Communications, his independent production company, for the time being. “The war in the Persian Gulf and the expanded coverage by ABC News (to an hour each evening) have forced me to the reluctant conclusion that I cannot do both.” Koppel said.
