In the same issue of the Business section as S. J. Diamond’s column about energy consumption was a story on page four, “New Gasoline May Burn Clean as Methanol, Arco Says.”
Arco should be spending its research dollars on developing alternative fuels, so that we can cut oil consumption.
Developing clean-burning gasoline will not solve our geopolitical problems.
