Com Systems Wins $5.8-Million Judgment

Com Systems Inc., a Westlake Village long-distance telecommunications company, won a $5.8-million judgment against Telecom Plus International of New York for breach of contract. The jury verdict, in Los Angeles Superior Court, was in connection with Telecom Plus’ 1983 proposed acquisition of a former Com Systems division that installed telephone systems. The Telecom deal fell through, and the division was sold in 1984 to API Telephones.

Telecom Plus is appealing the verdict.
