Sizzler Restaurants International Inc.: The Los Angeles-based restaurant chain said third-quarter profit totaled $3.6 million, down 27.4% from the same period a year ago. Revenue rose 6.5% to $101.5 million. The company blamed the lower results on the recession and intense competition, especially in Southern California.
