Daredevil Says Some Don’t Get the Points

OSLO — A daredevil slid down a ski slope while lying on a bed of nails, news reports said Tuesday.
Inge Vidar Svingen, 41, claimed to have survived the run uninjured.
For the Saturday stunt, Svingen removed his shirt and lay on a bed of 270 six-inch nails mounted on skis. He then slid 500 yards down a ski run in southern Norway.
“I am no masochist,” Svingen told the newspaper Dagbladet. “Abroad I am treated like a big entertainer. Here at home, I’m seen as a half-wit.”
