Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Co., St. Paul, Minn., has named Livio D. DeSimone to succeed Allen F. Jacobson as chairman and chief executive, effective with Jacobson’s retirement at the end of October. DeSimone, 54, is executive vice president of the 3M information and imaging technologies sector and corporate services.
