FLOWER POWER: In the ritzy Newport Beach enclave of Corona del Mar, where the streets are named for trees or flowers, there’s a campaign under way to let a thousand flowers bloom. Local businesses are asking residents to plant a flower on the street where they live: marigolds on Marigold, irises on Iris. . . . Mayor Phil Sansone will start the drive this weekend, planting “the first official poppy.”
