Union Bank named Richard C. Hartnack vice chairman and head of its retail banking group.
Hartnack, 45, also named to the bank’s board, replaces James R. Gibson, who plans to retire but remain a director of the San Francisco-based bank.
Hartnack was previously executive vice president and head of the community banking group at First National Bank of Chicago. Before that, he was an executive with First Interstate Bank of Oregon.
