I am a senior at Capistrano Valley High School and, like Mr. Peloza, felt a “calling” to also speak out--agreeing with Emily Long.
In your article, one unbelievable paragraph mentioned that Mr. Peloza had admittedly told two Jewish students that the Bible says they will go to hell unless they accept Jesus Christ and then gave them a Bible. Unbelievable in that a public school teacher would even approach his students to begin with on this topic, but that he chose Jewish students portrays him as being a religious dilettante and I’m sure that’s not the impression he hoped to achieve.
