Duffy Gets Serious: Actress Julia Duffy is leaving the ABC sitcom “Baby Talk,” in which she played straight mom to a wise-cracking infant, to pursue more serious comedy. Although she has no other projects at the moment, Duffy “would like to get another TV comedy, but a more adult comedy. She loved her seven years on ‘Newhart,’ ” her agent, Arthur Toretzky, said Tuesday.
