Cable TV Partnership: Buyout specialists Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and Cablevision Industries Corp. have formed a partnership that hopes to spend more than $700 million buying cable TV systems. Liberty, N.Y.-based Cablevision Industries is the country’s 10th-largest cable system operator, with about 1.1 million subscribers, including West Valley Cable Industries in the San Fernando Valley. The partners will form a $250-million equity pool that they hope can be leveraged to more than $700 million with financing. Cablevision Industries will manage the acquired systems.
