Didn’t you know by now there are strong women in the world--most of them, in fact? I wonder how many women through history have lived stable, productive lives and survived menopause without abandoning their children or living in a zonked-out haze or moving to a cave in New Mexico. Millions? Billions?

What makes this oddball different? She has the ear of the Los Angeles Times, which will always fall for a non-story if it’s shallow and inane enough. Good luck, L.A. Times. You are perfect for your hometown.
