Gibson’s article was quite enjoyable. I became a Civil War buff in 1987 because of an excellent tour guide at Gettysburg. You might also enjoy a visit to Fort Tejon State Historic Park (located in Lebec, Calif., north of Gorman). It has many artifacts and building remains. The re-enactors are well-read on the subject of the war.
