As a crew member of “Soapdish,” I would like to correct the definition of French hours as described in Kathleen Moloney’s “L.A. Speak” column on film-ese (June 16).

French hours means no formal lunch break of any kind. Not 10 minutes or 15 minutes, let alone 30 minutes.
