Physicians at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville said a Tennessee State football player had to be temporarily paralyzed with medication to be treated for a case of massive heat stroke.
Craig Morton, 18, of Oxon Hill, Md., was listed in fair condition and was moved from intensive care to a special care room, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Morton, a running back, was admitted to the hospital Tuesday with a body temperature of 107 degrees after collapsing during drills in the team’s first practice.
