Oceanside Youth Shot as Prowler

A 17-year-old Oceanside youth was shot and killed by a resident who suspected he was a prowler, Oceanside police said Wednesday.
Raed Hamdi was fatally wounded by an unidentified resident in the 2100 block of Via Robles at 10:34 p.m. Tuesday.
Hamdi, who lived in the 2100 block of Via Esmarca, died at 11:28 p.m. at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, the coroner’s office said.
