Protesting U.S. ‘Thugs’

During this time of tension in the Soviet Union, we have heard and read of those backing the coup referred to as “thugs.” They have been accused of breaking the law and not abiding by the constitution.
We can’t help but wonder what the difference is between those “thugs” and the “thugs of Operation Rescue” who are not only breaking the law but trying to impose their views on the rest of the world.
