Jeffrey C. Barbakow, former president of MGM/UA...

Jeffrey C. Barbakow, former president of MGM/UA Communications Co., has joined Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette in Los Angeles as managing director of the investment banking division.

Barbakow served on the executive committee of MGM after its sale to Italian financier Giancarlo Parretti last year. Before joining MGM, he was managing director of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, which specialized in the health care, media and entertainment industries.
