A convicted Tulare County murderer was sentenced to prison for life without the possibility of parole. Superior Court Judge David Allen followed a life without parole recommendation made by the jury that convicted Ruben Contreras, 21, of Visalia of fatally shooting Guadalupe Sanchez, 28, and wounding another man during a robbery in March, 1989.
