CAPITAL HIGH: Sen. Marian Bergeson (R-Newport Beach), who ranks among the more genteel lawmakers, is conservative by nature and by politics. But she does have a dare-devil side, even at age 64. She’s making plans to try sky diving. . . . “That’s my next confrontation,” Bergeson chuckled. She opined that jumping from a plane is no tougher than taking on the tobacco industry and teachers’ lobby, groups that unsuccessfully fought two of her bills this year.
