Car Bomb Blast Kills American in Turkey

ANKARA, Turkey — An American was killed in a car bomb blast in Ankara this morning, the semi-official Anatolian news agency reported.
The agency said Victor Marwick, 30, was killed when the bomb exploded at about 8 a.m. under his pickup truck on an Ankara street.
Maryanne Whitten, a U.S. Embassy spokeswoman, said that Marwick worked for the Turkish-U.S. logistics group, TUSLOG, and said no other details would be released until later. She said no group had yet claimed responsibility for the bombing.
Turkey’s deadliest left-wing urban guerrilla group Dev-Sol (Revolutionary Left) has claimed the killing of two Americans and one Briton in Turkey this year.
