Harvard President Passes Out Celery on Halloween

BOSTON — Trick-or-treaters at the home of Harvard University’s new president got celery, tomatoes or asparagus, along with some health tips. President Neil L. Rudenstine greeted visitors with: “Come in and have some hors d’oeuvres,” the Harvard Crimson reported Friday. As youngsters left, his wife, Angelica, called out: “I hope you liked our tomatoes. They’re much better on the arteries than candy is.”
