Bidding on Beethoven: An autographed manuscript of a Beethoven piano sonata, dated Aug. 16, 1814, is expected to bring at least $890,000 when it is auctioned Dec. 6 at Sotheby’s. The 28-page manuscript of the Piano Sonata in E Minor, Opus 90, is one of only a few still owned privately.
