BE Avionics Inc.: The Santa Ana supplier of in-flight entertainment passenger control units and entertainment systems for ground-transportation providers reported net earnings of $893,000, or 12 cents per share, for its first quarter, down 5% from $940,000, or 13 cents per share, recorded for the like period last year. Sales for the quarter ended Oct. 27 declined 16%, to $5.1 million from $6.1 million.
