Judge Denies Intel Injunction: A federal judge has denied a request by Intel Corp. to block upstart Cyrix Corp. from making and selling speedy math computer chips. Intel, one of the nation’s leading makers of semiconductors, in September asked U.S. District Judge Paul Brown in Sherman, Tex., to order Cyrix to stop production while the companies resolve a patent dispute. Intel contends that Cyrix, based in the Dallas suburb of Richardson, stole its technology to make math co-processors. Brown ruled that Intel neither proved it would be irreparably harmed without an injunction nor that it would likely win the case at trial.
