Honors for Gibson: Mel Gibson, who played Hamlet on screen and urged youngsters in a video to get to know Shakespeare, will receive the Will Award in April from the Shakespeare Theater in Washington. The actor is the fifth recipient of the award, joining Joseph Papp, Kevin Kline, Christopher Plummer and Kenneth Branagh. The award recognizes work on behalf of traditional classical theater.
