BUSY HOBBYIST: Irvine attorney Hugh Hewitt, above, former head of the Nixon Library & Birthplace, is already a radio talk show host and writes two local columns. Now he’s adding to his workload. . . . Later this month he becomes co-host, with Times reporter Patt Morrison and public policy analyst John Ochoa, of a news-oriented talk show on KCET Channel 28. . . . “It works; it’s needed,” Hewitt says after some pilots. “But I’m still a full-time lawyer. My dabbling in journalism is just a hobby; it’s a lot more fun than golf.”
