Broadway Book: A new book from Broadway will raise money for the fight against AIDS. “Broadway: Day and Night,” which will be published in the fall by Bantam Books, will feature photographs and essays about the world of the theater. The contributors will include actor-playwright Harvey Fierstein writing about a backstage visit from Ethel Merman at “Torch Song Trilogy,” Helen Hayes discussing her Broadway debut in 1910 and stories from Garson Kanin and Elaine Stritch. Proceeds from the book will go to Equity Fights AIDS and Broadway Cares.
