Plisetskaya Returns: Ex-Bolshoi star Maya Plisetskaya will appear as a guest with Los Angeles Classical Ballet (formerly Long Beach Ballet) at Pasadena Civic Auditorium Feb. 14-16, dancing Mikhail Fokine’s solo “The Dying Swan.” Plisetskaya, 66, last danced locally in 1988 when she performed “The Dying Swan” three times on the same program (twice as encores) at Shrine Auditorium. Billed as a “Celebration of Classical Ballet for the ‘90s,” the Pasadena performances will also include seven excerpts and short pieces danced by company members.
