Marshall’s Future: John Marshall, fired by KNBC Channel 4 Jan. 17 after two decades as a reporter there, may not be out of work long. At least two other stations want him--KTLA Channel 5 and KCOP Channel 13. One hang-up would be the salary that independent stations can pay: Marshall, 49, was earning about $165,000 a year at KNBC.
