Authorities on Friday identified the victim of a hit-and-run accident on Interstate 5 as Ricky Alan Wold, an unemployed construction worker who is believed to be a transient living in North County.
The 39-year-old man died about 9 p.m. Thursday after he was struck in the second lane of I-5 just north of 4th Street by two cars and a van, the coroner’s office said.
None of the vehicles stopped and authorities don’t know whether Wold fell or sat down in the lane.
