Regarding the Times story about Sen. Ed Davis’ planned retirement, “The World According to Ed” (Jan. 29), I’d be remiss in my duty as an unofficial Ed-watcher if I didn’t question why the following Ed quote was omitted:
“If I ever run for public office, I should have my head examined by a proctologist.”
Fortunately for his constituents, Ed went on to become a very successful state senator. His bipartisan leadership was instrumental in making Towsley Canyon State Woodlands Park a public facility.
