Giving When It Hurts: Arvida Co. has virtually stopped development of its 3,500-acre Talega planned community in San Clemente while it waits for the economy to improve, but it has continued to honor its commitment to the San Clemente Boys & Girls Club.
Arvida recently presented the club a check for $50,000, bringing to a total of $150,000 its contribution toward financing of a new gym.
