Nestle Hints It May Go After Perrier’s Parent Firm: Swiss food giant Nestle, which is making an unfriendly bid for France’s Source Perrier, said it could not rule out a takeover of the bottler’s parent company. “There would be a certain logic (to it),” said Nestle’s financial director, Rito Domeniconi. Perrier’s parent is controlled by Italy’s Agnelli family. Domeniconi’s remarks underscored the Swiss food company’s intent to wage a broad-based assault on the Agnellis in order to seize control of Perrier.
