Running back Tim Worley of the Pittsburgh Steelers has skipped at least two mandatory NFL drug tests in the past month, subjecting himself to an automatic one-year suspension without pay, according to his agent, Jerry Albano.
Worley was suspended for six weeks last season after a second positive test for cocaine. He did not appear for drug tests on Feb. 7 and Feb. 10, Albano said.
Under the NFL drug-abuse policy, when a player skips a drug test, it is treated as a positive. A third positive test during a player’s career means a suspension without pay for at least one year.
