King Trial a Ratings Boost for KTTV

KTTV Channel 11’s live coverage of the Rodney King beating trial is getting strong ratings, the station reported Thursday.
The Fox-owned station said that the trial drew a larger audience than any other local programming between 8:30 a.m. and about 12:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
Since beginning coverage March 5, KTTV has reached an average of 193,053 households a day during the trial hours, according to A.C. Nielsen Co. ratings.
